Obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN) are the medical specialty that focuses on women’s reproductive health, pregnancy, and childbirth. It involves the diagnosis and treatment of conditions related to the female reproductive system, such as menstrual disorders, infertility, pregnancy complications, and gynecologic cancers.
The Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics provides services to adolescents, young girls, women, and newborns.
The regular services provided include
- All obstetric emergencies
- Prenatal and antenatal care
- Normal and abnormal deliveries
- Safe abortion services
- Family planning counseling and services
- All gynecological procedures including:
- Hysterectomy
- Uro-gynecological surgeries including urinary fistula repair
- 24 hr OBS Scan
- CTG
- Dopler
